Joyful Nostalgia!

This is possibly the best thing ever. I have finally managed to play Creatures 1 and Creatures 2 after... Well... After many many years. I have managed to download them off of a site where they restore the games so they can function on XP and Vista machines. The Creatures Collection had Albian Years, which was 'remastered' for the XP, but for some reason it just was very very VERY poor on Vista, and Creatures 2 had no chance at all to run on my machine.

Well worry no more. I have downloaded Albian Years that has been fixed by that site, and voila! It works.

The first thing I did was install Norngirls batnorns. I fell in LOVE with them. They are positively adorable. I adore then from their cute little tails, down to their very wings. Positively adorable. I am certain to do fanart of them. Too cute to pass up. (They seriously look like an official breed to me.).

And the next thing I did was dig through my old files and I found my first two norns I ever made. My first norn EVER was from the FIRST RELEASE of Creatures 1. Way back when it had a little 'guide' booklet that said "The Chronicles of Nornia" on it. I have that booklet, and apparently; I still have that norn.

I tried, with worry, to import her into my game... and with a stunned silence, I watched as she materialized! Wham! There she was. Jule. And when I re-registered her, it told me that her birthday was : October 21, 1997. That tells me that 1, I was 8 years old, and 2, SHE'S OLDER THAN MY SISTER. And it does confirm for me that we had the first version of Creatures 1.

I am rather estatic. I managed to get the gentics kit working and I will rule the world and all those little nornys too.

I am just a very happy camper.

Glasses

I got new glasses. They are very spiffy. Full of spiff. I adore them and they look like and spiffy. :3 Now I feel I can draw myself an ID. The whole reason why I hesitated was that because... Er... I knew that within a year I'd get glasses, and I didn't feel like redrawing it if I did. XD Lazy, right?
